This red wooden house from 1814 was built for fine things. Nice people, good wine, short journeys and food inspired by French, Italian, Spanish wine bars with an English chef. The house is filled to the brim with wine from small producers with address and respect for nature, they are the ones we like best. We always serve a wide selection of wine by the glass and have special bottles waiting for those who are interested

The food we serve is made from ingredients from sustainable and preferably organic and biodynamic production with animal welfare in focus, as much as possible from Norwegian farmers.

Wine

The house is filled to the brim with wine from small producers with respect for nature, they are the ones we likebest. We always serve a wide selection of wines by the glass that changes daily. Our wine selection mainly consists of European wines with some South African and American wines. Veslemøy and the team have put together a dynamic and thrilling wine list, which includes everyhing from classic wine to “natural” wine. We also have good alcohol-free alternatives from Norwegian producers who make delicious natural beverages.

Food

At Nektar, the focus is on cosiness and comfortable hospitality, the food is flavorful and is made to be shared. The chefs come from different backgrounds and take inspiration from all corners of the world. The food we serve is made as much as possible from sustainable and preferably organic and biodynamic production. Animal welfare is key to us with all animal products, and we also always have several vegetarian dishes and something vegan. We work with many small Norwegian farms and buy as much as possible from them. The menu is constantly changing according to what is in season.
